Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival 2015
For over a decade, the Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival has featured a wealth of jazz greats, critically acclaimed up-and-coming artists and local favorites at one of the area’s most spectacular venues. This all-day concert features world-class music, kids’ activities, vendors, great food & beverages and a fireworks show over the Hudson River to end the day. The Jazz Festival is an event for all ages- and admission is still free!
Larry Moses’ Latin Jazz Express
A seven-piece Hudson Valley band dedicated to keeping the sounds and spirit of this music alive, Larry Moses’ Latin Jazz Express is what happens when the sophisticated sounds of jazz mix it up with the red-hot Latin rhythms of Cuba, Puerto Rico and the streets of NYC.
The Joey Thomas Big Band 2:30PM – 3:30PM
Perpetuating the modern big band, the Great American Songbook and swing dancing has been The Joey Thomas Big Band’s driving mission for 23 years. The 16-piece ensemble will have any jazz lover falling in love with the big band all over again.
Keith Pray’s Soul Jazz Revival 4:00PM – 5:00PM
Local saxophonist and composer Keith Pray’s unique style and talent has allowed him to perform and record across the spectrum of today’s music, including performances on ABC, the Food Network, The Newport Jazz Festival and numerous high-profile local festivals and events.
Kate Davis 5:30PM – 6:30PM
The music of multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Kate Davis has been turning heads since 2012. Whether she’s crooning rootsy ballads or plucking bright riffs from her bass, the gutsy songstress puts a fresh spin on the standards and brings a canonical sense to her own lush tracks.
Booker T. Jones 7:00PM – 8:15PM
With classic hits like “Green Onions” and “Time is Tight”, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Booker T. Jones pushed soul music’s boundaries, refined it to its essence and injected it into the nation’s bloodstream.

No glass containers of any kind, recording of performances, animals or pets (excluding ADA-defined service animals). All City of Albany parks are now tobacco-free. Security personnel reserve the right to inspect any bag, container or package and confiscate any prohibited or illegal items. Any type of recording of the performance or presentation is prohibited without prior written consent. All attendees should be prepared to present age identification at any time if they intend to consume alcohol. Ground rules are subject to change without notice; exceptions made for medical or child care reasons may be addressed individually.
